Motives of Great Britain
- Britain was represented at the Paris Peace Conference by David Lloyd George.
- Britain had mixed feelings about war reparations: They wanted Germany to repay Britain for the damage done during the war, but they also wanted Germany to retain a certain degree of health so that they could continue a trade relationship with Britain that existed before the war. - A strong motive for Britain was to build their already impressive overseas empire. They went about this by asking Germany for their colonies. |
