The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
- After the Soviets had taken power, they made a decision to leave the World War. This treaty resulted in large reparations and masses of land to Germany.
- All of these losses were replaced by the resolutions of the Paris Peace Conference.
Subjunctive Question: What if the resolutions of the Paris Peace treaty had not replaced the land that Russia lost in this treaty? How would this have affected the Five Year plans and the battles of WWII?

"Oratory prevented Russia from becoming a constitutional country. Oratory tore the Revolution from the patriots and gave it into the bloody hands of the mob. Oratory murdered the Czar, his wife, and their innocent children. Oratory almost wiped out the educated classes. Oratory held the stupid populace spellbound while the Germans invaded the country, boosted Lenine [sic] into power, and paved the way for the treaty of Brest-Litovsk. I never want to hear any more oratory as long as I live."
